Dr. Brian Grossi is a veterinarian at Westside Animal Hospital.
After studying anthropology at the University of Miami, Dr. Grossi began his first career in primatology at the Duke University Primate Center as a lemur caretaker. He later returned to Florida to become the first curator of the Lemur Conservation Foundation-Myakka Reserve (LCF) and it was through his experience at the LCF that he made his decision to become a veterinarian. While completing his pre-requisite coursework for veterinary school he gained valuable experience working at a local emergency animal hospital and a cat only hospital.
Dr. Grossi graduated from the North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2012 and has a special interest in veterinary dentistry, pain management, and exotic animal medicine. He shares his Durham home with a herd of cats, and a collection of aquariums. In his spare time, he enjoys cooking, concerts, and the company of great friends.
