Intestinal Parasite Exam
Some pets can have a parasitic infection while showing
no signs of disease. Your pet's stool may appear
normal yet still have an active infection. Testing is
crucial for effective detection and treatment of internal
parasites.
Treatable internal parasites that can pass from pets to
people include:
Roundworms
Hookworms
Cryptosporidia
Giardia
Tapeworms
Toxoplasma
Blood Screening Tests
Early detection Screening enables a doctor to catch a disease earlier and provide
treatment. Profiles from more than 70,000 clinically asymptomatic dogs and cats
between the ages of two and eight, show a significant number of patients with abnormal
results. Good news is that early detection can add years to an animal's life and identify
potentially significant diseases that may have been undiagnosed or under treated.
Wellness Exams
Our pets age at a faster rate than we do, by
physical exams many issues can be addressed
before they limit our pets physical abilities. By
getting your pet examined every year and
twice a year for pets over the age of 8 years
you can help provide them with a happy and
longer life style.
What does it all mean?
Vaccines
Depending on the age of your pet and vaccine history,
the doctor will recommend a program that will benefit
your pets health.
Heartworm Testing
Transmission is by an infected mosquito, resulting in
heartworm disease that is potentially deadly. Juvenile
and adult heartworms primarily live in the pulmonary
blood vessels of an infected dog. Even if on prevention
the American Heartworm Society recommends annual
testing for the health and safety of your dog.
